WHAT IS INVISALIGN®?
Invisalign is a patented, nearly invisible orthodontic system that straightens teeth using a series of removable clear plastic trays, or aligners, to gently shift your teeth into proper alignment, without having to use metal bands or wires.
WHY INVISALIGN?
Invisalign clear braces are removable, which means you can take them out for pictures or social events, and even when they’re in place, they’re almost invisible. Plus, because they’re custom made, you can have straight teeth in less time than traditional braces, and there are no sharp edges or wires to poke your lips or gums.
ARE YOU A CANDIDATE FOR INVISALIGN?
If you have an overbite, underbite, crossbite, open bite, gap or other alignment issues, you could be a good candidate for Invisalign. Invisalign offers a teen version as well as an adult version for young patients whose teeth are still coming in.
HOW DO I CARE FOR MY ALIGNERS?
Aligners are smooth, lightweight and easy to care for – just brush them with your regular toothpaste and rinse them well. They’ll be replaced about every two weeks during treatment. And because they’re removable, it’s really easy to care for your teeth: Simply remove the aligner and brush and floss as you normally would.
HOW DOES THE INVISALIGN® PROCEDURE WORK?
Invisalign uses special computer models of your teeth to determine how they need to move to create the straight, healthy-looking smile you’ve been looking for. Over time, a series of removable clear plastic trays based on those computer models help gently shift teeth into their new, properly aligned positions.
