Meet Dr. Al Berger
Dr. Berger received a BS degree with honors in Biology from Tulane University. He then traveled to the nation’s capital and graduated from Georgetown University Dental School in 1978. Afterwards he completed a two-year program in orthodontics at the Institute for Graduate Dentists and took an additional two years of orthodontic study at the Dewey School.
He is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, The American Equilibration Society, The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the New York State Dental Society, the Suffolk County Dental Society and the American Dental Society. In addition, he is a member of the Long Island Dental Forum where he received the Kindred Spirit Award.
Dr. Berger is also a member of ITI study club which focuses on the ever changing world of dental implants. Dr. Berger has over 1000 hours of continuing education. He has had articles published in Dental Economics, the New York State Dental Journal and the Suffolk Bulletin. He has also appeared on various radio and cable programs. Dr. Berger was selected as the dental representative for cable program Long Island’s Best, which aired in October of 2001. Dr. Berger enjoys all sports, but especially likes to play tennis. His interests also include writing, theater and movies. He is especially hooked on Dustin Hoffman films.

I have been Dr. Berger’s chairside dental assistant since 2005. It is very important to me to make sure that our patients have an enjoyable stress free dental experience when they come see us. I know patients can be fearful, but I am motivated to put their fears to rest and to make sure things are running smoothly so we can stay on schedule. I hope the patients look forward to their dental visits as much as I look forward to seeing them.
FRANCINE
I have been in the dental field since 1994. Being a “people person” my responsibilities in Dr. Berger’s practice complements my outgoing personality. As the receptionist I enjoy speaking to our patients and accommodating their schedules for their appointments. It is important to me that each patient feels welcomed in our practice. I get great satisfaction knowing I helped our patients put a smile on their faces.

I have been active in the dental field since 1989. As the financial coordinator for Dr. Berger’s practice I make it possible for patients to afford the dental treatment they require. Patients are very satisfied knowing Dr. Berger will provide them with the best dental care and at the same time will have peace of mind knowing their financial obligations have been addressed. I take great pride in making dental treatment a reality with Dr. Berger.

I have been a dental hygienist for over 32 years and have worked in Dr. Berger’s practice since 1999. The reason why I enjoy being Dr. Berger’s hygienist is I share his belief in the value of optimum oral health. It is my goal to inform and educate the patients I treat to the benefits of superior oral health. As a hygienist I want the patients I care for to have a healthy sparkling smile. I am able to achieve this because I perform my services both gently and thoroughly allowing patients to want to come back for future appointments.
