Benefits of Invisalign® Clear Braces

Benefits of Invisalign® Clear Braces

Let’s face it, no one ever wants to get metal braces. In fact, braces have a really bad reputation – remember calling kids “metal mouth” back when you were in school? You don’t want to set yourself up for that kind of taunting.

But what if getting braces wasn’t a huge deal? What if you could actually have your bite corrected without having to put up with the jokes and laughter? What if you could have braces that weren’t even obvious? It’s actually possible with Invisalign® clear braces. With Invisalign, you can actually get your teeth straightened without having to deal with unsightly metal in your mouth, and there are other benefits of Invisalign as well.

Eat What You Want, When You Want

You know how it was with metal braces – you couldn’t chew gum, couldn’t eat certain types of candy, had to avoid foods like corn or steak, because God forbid, they could get stuck in your braces!

With Invisalign, that’s a non-issue. You can eat whatever you want, because you can take your clear braces off whenever you want. The thing with traditional braces is that once they’re placed, they’re there forever (until your orthodontist removes them). So you can’t eat what you want. The other problem is that they’re very noticeable, and that means that they can be a source of embarrassment and anxiety. Invisalign braces, on the other hand, are barely detectable.

The other advantage to Invisalign braces is that it’s very easy to brush and floss the way you usually do. With metal braces, they’re firmly in place, and you have to work hard to get in and around the metal components in order to clean your teeth. With Invisalign, all you need to do is take them off in order to brush or floss the way that you normally would. Being able to remove the braces means that you can always practice good oral health.

Here’s the final word – with Invisalign, you don’t have to deal with the discomfort and inconvenience of traditional metal braces. The smooth plastic is molded to your teeth in a way that’s designed to be pain-free, comfortable, and facilitate easy cleaning. When you consider all the benefits of Invisalign braces, it simply makes no sense to even consider metal braces.

And of course, although we love seeing you, we have to point out that with Invisalign, you won’t have to come by the office nearly as often. Invisalign braces don’t require correction in the form of tightening. You’ll probably only have to see me every six weeks or so. we’ll miss you!
